The natural gas driven AWS (Air Water System) chiller allows the integration of the GHP with any existing water systems – replaces the boiler and the air conditioning unit, freeing the technical rooms for other uses and eliminating the expenses associated with the power used and the construction of a dedicated electrical room.
- Emulates and performs just like a full service Chiller system by utilizing a DX (Direct Expansion) or Dry Condenser Coil-type system
- Operating Costs can be cut by as much as 30% to 60% when compared with conventional electric chillers
- Utilizes the cost savings, efficiency, and positive environmental aspects of natural gas
- Eliminates cooling towers, thus saving material water usage
- Eliminates water costs on both the front end (filling) and the back-end (disposal)
- Footprint flexibility in that modules may be installed at multiple locations on any single site (unlike a cooling tower)
- Materially reduces maintenance attention and costs (ie monthly for Chillers versus every 2 – 3 years with GHP/AWS combination)
- Connectivity with any BMS control system managed with Modbus Protocol
- Allows integration to any existing CW/HW piping systems
- Additional savings can be realized by recovering waste engine heat for heating domestic hot water, and space heat process
